I have been working in long term care for 24 years. Over the years I have worked as a CNA, Activity Assistant, Social Services, and Marketing & Admissions Coordinator. The Social Service role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. As an advocate for our residents, I strive to ensure emotional and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis. I aid residents in adjusting to the facility, exercising rights as residents, and promoting the continuance of relationships with the family and community. I assist with discharge planning whether it be to home after a rehab stay, moving to Assisted Living or making the decision for Long-term nursing care. I am an animal lover, especially Boston Terriers. I enjoy traveling to the mountains & warm sunny places.
